During Konami’s Gamescom 2014 conference, Hideo Kojima was on hand to show off more gameplay from his game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This is the same section that we saw during the E3 demo but at night. In this video we get to see not only how differently guards behave when the sun goes down but also some new techniques that Big Boss has at his disposal.
The video does an amazing job of showing just how much freedom players will have when attempting to accomplish the mission. The cardboard box’s capabilities have been expanded in some rather funny ways. It was also cool to see that the Fulton Recovery System can actually be used to attack enemies if used right. It was also interesting to see more wildlife and to learn that some of the animals will attack Big Boss if given the chance.
If you know me then you know how much of a Metal Gear Solid freak I am. I will rewatch this video many times between now and whenever this baby finally gets released.
