Instead of releasing Assassin’s Creed III, a spin-off staring AC II hero Ezio Auditore de Firenze will be coming in Fall 2010. The game will be entitled Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and will boost online multiplayer to help justify your new Ubisoft purchase.
I would have assumed that Ubisoft was saving the official announcement of this game for E3, but someone at Gamestop leaked some box art and the rest is history. A Ubi representative has confirmed the image’s authenticity and stated that more information will be revealed next week.
