Well, I wish I was joking. But EA will release big downloadable games to test the waters of a game before they consider it for a big box release. They call it “PDLC” for premium downloadable content. Technically its not really a demo in my opinion. Its pretty much a Xbox Live or PSN game that serves as a potential prequel. Whether the PDLC is included in the final box version of the game is up in the air. This all comes from a conversation Michael Pachter had with Visceral head Nick Earl.
