Whilst speaking with PSM3 magazine, Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that it would be possible to implement motorcycles into the Gran Turismo 5 engine. He made it clear that this is a possibility in the future but for now getting the game finished is the main priority. This leaves speculation that there will be DLC in the future which will unlock bikes in Gran Turismo 5. This wouldn’t be the first time that PolyPhony has messed around with bikes either, as they were responsible for Tourist Trophy for the Playstation 2, which was almost exactly like GT5 but on bikes.
The environment we have right now allows us to drive motorcycles, but we need to get Gran Turismo 5 done first,” he said.
“Once that’s out of the way, if there’s a strong demand for bikes, that’s something we’d consider.”
That sounds like too much of a teaser for them not to eventually implement the bikes eventually. Currently Gran Turismo has been delayed for a couple of weeks. There are rumors going around that the game will be released on the week of Black Friday, but officially they announced that the game would arrive sometime this holiday season. Let us know what you think of GT5 with bikes.
