The open world Western that has the whole gaming industry buzzing right now, Red Dead Redemption has obtained the number 1 spot in the UK this week. This comes as 2010 Fifa World Cup was dominating for 3 weeks straight. This goes to show how much people are willing to support Rockstar franchises in the UK. Overall sales of Red Dead Redemption made it the eleventh fastest-selling game ever in the multi-platform charts, the ninth fastest-selling 360 title and the eleventh fastest-selling PS3 title. The Xbox 360 version of the game contributed to 65 per cent, while the PS3 version did 35 per cent. The second highest entry this week was Split/Second which came in at number 5.
