UFC Undisputed 2010 Requires Code For Online Play

The battle between developers and used game sales is starting to really kick off. EA and Ubisoft have expressed ideas on how to combat used games sales with methods like day one DLC and online passes to unlock online features. THQ seems to be fond of the idea and have implemented an online pass for their upcoming release of UFC Undisputed 2010.

A one-time use code will come with your brand new copy of UFC Undisputed 2010 and will unlock all of the games multiplayer features. If you rent or buy the game used, you’ll have to pay $5 to unlock the multiplayer features. I can see the sweat dripping from Gamestop’s forehead. But let me ask this, what if someone doesn’t even have internet access? Doesn’t that mean THQ owes them $5?

I’m not a fan of buying games used, not because it screws the publisher over but because I hate buying games without a cover or manual. I don’t want a used game in a cd slip. But anyways, do you agree with these new methods to stop people from buying used games?

P.S. I’m knocking Randy Ledet out, make him look like Machida.
