We don’t like to post rumours here at The Koalition, but since I’m a huge Fallout fan I decided to break the rule. According to a tip from MIT, Bethesda has had a very strong presence in the Boston area for research purposes.
Speaking on Reddit the MIT tipper explained the following:
“The rumors are true, Fallout 4 will take place in Boston. In case you haven’t heard, Bethesda has recently been scoping out and researching Boston. They also have a strong connection to MIT. I may or may not be an MIT employee. But that’s really all I can say for fear of losing my job.”
“Apologies for the vagueness of this post. It’s not just my job that worries me, but also getting the f**k sued out of me. Bethesda’s contracts are basically full-proof [sic] so if they were to discover who I am, or rather, who I got this information from, a few people including myself could get into a lot of trouble.”
If the rumours are true I’m sure our Boston native Richard Bailey will be picking this game up day one. I actually like that fact that Bethesda doesn’t always focus on the most popular cities when choosing the setting for their games, it gives us the opportunity to learn a little more about other cities that many tourists would overlook.
Let us know what you think.
