You might think it is risky business trying to release a new RPG IP around this time, hot on the heels of American juggernaut releases like Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and the soon-to-be released Mass Effect 3, but think again. First off, this game is mostly focused on being a great action game with a fantasy setting, rather than an RPG with action-based mechanics. Second off, it looks beautiful. After watching this game in motion, you should get excited. Third off, the story is based around a dragon rising after leaving for many years, and oddly targeting the main protagonist, stealing your heart. The story picks up from there, with tons of memorable characters, fast-paced action gameplay, an expansive world to explore, and much more in this new action series!
Finally, the team responsible for Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4 is working on this game and it is really shaping up to be a piece of quality software. Maybe this is the innovative spark Japanese RPGs need, it is great to see something fresh releasing soon!
