This weekend, gamers from around the world are coming to Dallas, TX where there are thousands of dollars on the line. Competitive gaming is a career for many of these gamers and not just an engaging past time. The Major League Gaming (MLG) Fall Championships include tournaments for games such as League of Legends, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty and a pre-release version of Halo 4. In addition to the tournaments themselves, regular attendees can check out booths from companies, play game demos and meet key figures in the eSports scene.
The full MLG game list and prizes are as follows:
- Halo 4 (Exclusive Pre-Release Tournament) on Xbox 360 – $40,000 in prizes
- StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty® on PC – $76,000 in prizes; $25,000 for 1st Place
- League of Legends on PC – $30,000 in prizes
- Mortal Kombat on PlayStation®3 (PS3™) system – $16,700 in prizes
- TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 on PS3 – $15,000 in prizes
- PlayStation® All-Stars Battle Royale™ (Pre-Release Tournament) on PS3 – $5,000 in prizes
All MLG event attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in the pre-release tournament for PlayStation® All-Stars Battle Royale™ before the game is released on November 20th. Free of charge, attendees can play and compete on open stations on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3. Top finishers will advance to a bracket on Sunday, November 4 for a chance at prize winnings.
In addition to competition, the MLG Fall Championships will feature booths from prominent companies in the competitive gaming scene including Mad Catz, Full Sail University, GUNNAR Optiks, iBUYPOWER and many more. The booth floor will be open to all attendees and even include demos for some newly released and soon-to-release games.

The event is being held at the Dallas Convention Center with the doors opening Friday, November 2nd at 1:30PM and ending on Sunday, November 4th at 9:00PM.
