Techland have today showed off 12 minutes of their upcoming Zombie Parkour game Dying Light, it’s a first-person open world game and from the footage shown I have to say it’s extremely impressive, check out the video embedded above!
The game is coming for both current gen and next-gen consoles, as well as the PC, if I had to hazard a guess I’d say this was footage from a PC considering how impressive it is. The game visually looks fantastic and the parkour looks smooth and effortless, the footage really shows that this is a perfect blend of Mirror’s Edge and Dead Island.
What really impresses me is how the tone changes at night, if you watched that video until the very end you can see that by night the game becomes about stealth. The zombies increase in power at night meaning that you have to avoid them at all cost, a drastic change from the daylight gameplay. This looks like the sequel that Dead island deserved, not the terrible Dead Island: Riptide.
