Today EA Sports revealed an extended gameplay trailer from their upcoming NBA LIVE 14 video game.
The extended video above highlights cover athlete Kyle Irving as he squares off against Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. The trailer also showcases various talents such as Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, and Damian Lillard as they each represent their respective teams on the court. EA Sports reps mentioned that this trailer is only the beginning of various gameplay modes and features that they will be announcing within the next few weeks. This gameplay reveal comes literally one day after 2K Sports debuted the first look at their next-gen version of NBA 2K14.
After taking a look at this video, I still find myself questioning whether or not this is indeed real gameplay or just a series of cinematic setpieces. Yesterday I mentioned that the NBA 2K14 footage was nothing short of brilliant, but hardly believable. Many industry veterans have said that the graphical leap between current gen and next-gen won’t be as staggering as many people think. Luckily for us all, we won’t have to wait too much longer to see if their theories are true.
NBA LIVE 14 will launch on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 19th. Did this extended gameplay trailer win you over or do you still need some convincing? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
