The next Assassin’s Creed game will be coming in fiscal year 2014, and will feature a new hero in a new time period, Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot announced today.
“We are delighted and proud to announce today that in financial year 14, we will introduce an all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period, and we expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise,” said Guillemot.
“It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin’s Creed game.” Guillemot promised more information “very soon”.
Many people were disappointed with Assassin’s Creed 3 so the natural response will be skepticism at first. However, as more information comes out I’m sure that people will be more than willing to jump back into the series. The real question now is where does the series go and how can they justify another storyline considering how Assassin’s Creed 3 ended?
Personally I’m hoping for the next game to take place in feudal Japan, why? Samurais. Need I explain more?
