While the summertime is usually characterized by big movie releases, this summer experience is shaping up to be a big time for games. “The traditional summer blockbuster is making the leap from movie house to home cinema this July, as Nordic Games and The Farm 51 announce Deadfall Adventures – a thrilling and immersive action adventure which seamlessly combines the first person shooter experience with puzzle-solving and exploration, taking players across the globe in Nordic Games’ most ambitious game to date,” reads the press release.
Nordic Games is known for tackling some of the edgier and darker games of the genre, such as the solid update of the Painkiller franchise with Hell & Damnation (read my full review of the game here) and they look to be continuing that trend with this latest game.
Fueled by Unreal Engine 3 with tons of action, puzzle-solving and first-person shooting fun, the game is looking to be quite an interesting experience. “Deadfall Adventures marries the ethos of the Saturday morning matinee with the Summer blockbuster to create an original adventure which will grip players from start to finish,” says Klemens Kreuzer, Managing Director at Nordic Games. “We’re putting players into the heart of the action, just as they’d dreamed as children, staring at their heroes on the silver screen. It’s fantastic to be working on Deadfall Adventures with The Farm 51 from the roots up; it’s going to be an exciting summer.”
The game is set for a July 30th 2013 release this summer for Windows PC and Xbox 360. What say you? Does it seem like an interesting game, or are you going to pass on this first-person puzzle solver? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
