Alien: Isolation Not Coming To The Wii U

Earlier today, Creative Assembly confirmed via Twitter that their recently revealed Alien: Isolation video game won’t be coming to the Wii U. The tweet can be seen embedded below:

Alien: Isolation joins a large list of several other third-party next-gen titles that will never release on the Wii U.  While some will argue that a Wii U port of the game isn’t totally out of the question, the general consensus floating around is that if Nintendo is still having trouble attracting third-party developers at this stage in the console’s life cycle, then things truly have no hope of ever getting better.

The one positive that many Nintendo fans can take away from this news is that there will still be plenty of first-party Nintendo games for them to play as the year goes on. Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, and Hyrule Warriors are all sure to keep diehard Nintendo fans busy for hours on end. Hopefully Nintendo will have plenty more games to share with us at E3 2014 in June.
