In news that should stun no one, it was announced during Sony’s Gamescom 2014 press conference that the once PC exclusive survival game, DayZ, is PlayStation 4 bound.
This news comes to us directly from the man behind the game, Dean “Rocket” Hall. “Creating the PS4 version has given us the chance to expand the project,” said Hall when he took the stage of Sony’s conference. No footage was shown, all we got was that the game was being developed for Sony’s current-gen console.
As I said before, this news shouldn’t be all that surprising. The game has sold over 2 million copies as of May and it has good word of mouth in the gaming community. It was only a matter of time before it was ported over to the PlayStation 4.
That’s pretty much all the news that we have at this time. Make sure to check back here for any follow up on news on this story.
