Madden NFL 15 Demo is Exclusive to Xbox One

Earlier today, EA Sports Community Manager Andrew Johnson revealed over Twitter that Madden NFL 15 won’t be getting a formal demo release. The tweet is conveniently embedded below for you all to check out:

While Johnson didn’t give a reason as to why a demo won’t be released, the truth of the matter is that EA Access will be the only way for you to play the game early. The Xbox One exclusive subscription service allows customers to play trial demos of the latest EA games before release for only $4.99 a month. It will be interesting to see if EA takes this same approach with several of the other high profile titles that they are planning on releasing later this year.

This latest move by EA is definitely both a risky and costly one. By making the decision to keep this demo exclusive to the Xbox One, they are denying PS4 owners the same opportunity to try the game out in advance. Of course, if you’re naturally a Madden fan then you most likely won’t need a demo to sell you on the experience. With all that said, this is still an interesting move and I personally can’t wait to see how all of the diehard fans will respond to it.

Madden NFL 15 launches on August 26th for the PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
