New Lord of the Rings game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will not be coming to the Wii U, nor will it have any multiplayer or co-op mode.
The news was announced within Shadow of Mordor’s official Twitter last week, this comes as a surprise considering the game will also be releasing on last-gen consoles Xbox 360 and PS3 which are similarly powerful to the Wii U.
@bengriffin2414 Shadow of Mordor will be launching for PS4, along with PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

The fact that it has no multiplayer will make a lot of people happy, often when games are not designed around multiplayer those modes can be really disappointing. For example the new Tomb Raider’s multiplayer felt tacked on and was often very buggy. Some games just don’t need multiplayer so personally I am glad they are not including this mode.
@TobiasKarlsson_ Alas, no co-op. Shadow of Mordor is being crafted wholly as a single-player experience.
