Octodad Aiming For April PS4 Release, ‘Thinking About’ An Xbox One Version

Octodad: Dadliest Catch developer Young Horses have said that they aim to release the PS4 version of their game in April, they also revealed they are thinking about an Xbox One version.

Studio president Phil Tibitoski spoke with Polygon and said:

“Basically all you need to know is this is our first ever console release and we want to do it right the first time. We still need to work on trophies and some things like that a bit. Though it’s more about just giving us some more room to make sure we can get it done. We don’t want to make any hasty announcements.”

“Our word on the Xbox One version is ‘we’re thinking about it. We don’t currently have plans for Wii U.”

Octodad is currently out on PC and was pretty well received, I managed to play the PS4 version of the game back in September and enjoyed my time with it immensely. Hopefully the team do decide to do an Xbox One version as everyone should get the chance to play Octodad, it’s refreshingly weird and unique.

Let me know in the comments what you think of Octodad, would you like to see an Xbox One version?
