Yesterday, Respawn Entertainment confirmed via their website that their upcoming Titanfall video game will have a Season Pass. This optional add-on content will retail for $24.99 and launch alongside the game on March 11th. Below is an image of how the advertised add-on packaging will look:
The Season Pass is expected to include a total of 3 new content packs that will each release individually over time. Additionally, Respawn also announced that the PC version of the game can also be purchased as Digital Deluxe edition through Origin. This package will include both the game and season pass for $79.99. Most of the details regarding the contents of the Season Pass leaked out a week ago, but have never been confirmed to be true by Respawn representatives. Vince Zampella has also revealed that the studio is planning to send out free updates with added features and modes for the game in the months ahead.
Respawn’s decision to release a Season Pass at the discounted price of $24.99 was a smart one. Call of Duty Season Passes normally retail for $49.99 and while the content may be worth it, this is still a rather steep price to pay for add-ons. By keeping their price reasonable, Respawn now has a better chance of getting even more people to invest the extra money into this package.
