Earlier today, Supergiant Games Creative Director Greg Kasavin confirmed over on their blog that Transistor is coming to both the PS4 and PC on May 20th. The game will retail for $19.99 and will be playable at PAX East 2014 this weekend.
Transistor could be best described as a science fiction action RPG with turn-based strategy elements. The player takes on the role of a female singer who discovers a powerful intelligent sword called the Transistor and is tasked with preventing it from getting into the wrong hands. Supergiant games is the talented studio behind the popular action RPG title Bastion. Transistor is one of 100 games coming to the PS4 later this year.
Now that we have a firm release date for Transistor, I can confirm that we will definitely have a ton of games to play next month. Watch_Dogs and Mario Kart 8 are two other notable titles that will also be getting a ton of attention from consumers. Stay tuned next week for my hands-on impressions of Transistor after I’ve had a chance to play it at PAX East.
