It’s official! Darksiders II will be ported to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this winter, according to a statement from Nordic Games to Polygon.
The game will feature resolution improvements along with the typical fine tunes and buffers. In a statement made by the Austrian publisher, “This isn’t a simple port” and the Deathinitive Edition will feature polished environmental and character visuals.
The current development team handling the remastered port is Gunfire Games, the very team that worked in the original Darksiders studio under the Vigil Games umbrella.
What does this mean for the Darksiders series? Will we see a third installment soon? In an official statement with Polygon, Nordic games spokesman Phillip Brock says:
“Since Darksiders is an active project for us we are obviously making up our minds about [Darksiders 3],”
“So far we have nothing to officially announce though.”
Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition will feature the following DLC:
The Maker Armor Set
The Abyssal Forge
The Demon Lord Belial
Angel of Death
Shadow of Death
Van Der Schmash Hammer
Fletcher’s Crow Hammer
