/// Story of Seasons is Coming to North America on March 31!
Story of Seasons is the beginning of a new chapter in the “Bokujo Monogatari” series, a long-standing and top-selling farming/life simulation franchise. Though the series is reborn with a new name, it continues the well-loved traditions of customizable farms, animal care and relationship-building toward the goal of getting married and starting a family.
After creating a customized character, players can live out a new life by cultivating their favorite fruits and vegetables while expanding and filling their farm with their choice of animals. Fans of past games in the series will love the many new additions on display here, including an enhanced variety of seeds, pets, and other ways to make their farms truly their own. But the major addition is the new theme of “connectivity,” as trading with other countries will help grow the player’s crop variety and wallet, as well as the prosperity of the entire town. Players can also connect locally via WiFi to visit one another’s farms and tend crops as a team, expanding both their harvests and their friendships.

/// PS4 Back on Top, Dying Light in 1st Place!
“PlayStation 4 was the top selling console in January, it and remains the cumulative leader in the US, according to NPD data,” Sony said in a response statement.
“Since launch in November 2013, 18.5 million PS4 units and 81.8 million software units have been sold through to consumers worldwide.”
Nevertheless, Microsoft was pretty positive, reporting a 22% increase in members and hours spent gaming on Xbox Live over January 2014.
“We are grateful to our loyal Xbox fans for their continued support,” Xbox marketing corporate vice president Mike Nichols said.
“With a special $349 price for Xbox One in the US and an unprecedented lineup of Xbox exclusives including Fable Legends, Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza Motorsport 6 plus a host of blockbuster third-party titles such as Battlefield Hardline, Evolve and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt all coming this year, 2015 is shaping up to be another amazing year for Xbox fans.”
Dying Light dominated the sales charts in January. It was the only major new release, but even with that in mind its performance was impressive.
1. Dying Light (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
2. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
3. Grand Theft Auto 5 (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3)
4. Minecraft (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4)
5. NBA 2K15 (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
6. Super Smash Bros. (Wii U, 3DS)
7. Far Cry 4 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
8. Madden NFL 15 (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3)

/// Destiny Getting a Reputation UI!
In the latest Bungie Weekly Update, interface design lead David “Evil Otto” Candland explained why this feature, of all those on players’ wishlist, is coming in the next patch.
“We’re working on a lot of new features. This one is being included in 1.1.1 because it had a very low impact on our Test team,” he said.
“We’ve known we’ve wanted this feature since we donned our first piece of faction class gear, and the community has too. It was a no-brainer.
“Since reputation really affects your buying power, it made sense to put it in close proximity to your currencies. The inventory screen real estate is pretty full, so using the fly-out convention we established in the settings screen was a way to recoup some space, yet still allow tooltips for another layer of detail.”

/// Ono: Deep Down has to Last 15 Years!
“We are currently working diligently on Deep Down, so please give us a little more time,” director Yoshinori Ono said.
“We may be able to show you some big developments this year.”
“[Deep Down] is a title that has to be able to compete for the next 15 years or so, so from a graphics standpoint we can’t release it as it is now, saying that it’s the best there is,” producer Kazunori Sugiura added. [Source]
/// The Order: 1886 “trying to do something different” with Cinematics!
Speaking to Gametrailers, creative director Ru Weerasuriya acknowledged that this approach has raised concerns.
“We took the risk of trying to do something that was different, but the reality of it is that it is part of the game, and one of the big things we want to tackle with this game,” he said.
“That kind of seamless-ness, that constant question that you have of whether or not what you’re looking at is a cinematic or are you playing the game.”
>>> FAST FORWARD >>>
“We put it out there and see what people say, but for us it was important that as the next-generation was here to do something different not to just give people what they expected; not to just say, ‘Hey, here’s every game you’ve seen until now and we’re just giving you a re-hash. We wanted something new.”
/// Ubisoft: The Division, Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six Siege All Coming in FY16!
Ubisoft announced in its latest financial report it shipped 10 million units of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Rogue combined. It also said to expect more information on its pipeline of triple-A titles in May, which total five. [Source]

/// Star Wars Battlefront Rumors: Campaign, Multiplayer has “hero” System, More!
According to information the site received, Battlefront will come with both campaign and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer portion will support 64-player battles like previous Battlefield games. As for the campaign, it’s supposedly longer than most modern games.
The story will cover the entire Star Wars saga, giving you control of both the good guys (Old Republic, Rebellion and Republic) and the bad guys (Separatists and the Empire). The majority of it will be set in the original trilogy, but will feature events from the prequel trilogy, including the Revenge of the Sith opening battle.
Now here’s is where it gets interesting, the final section of the campaign is supposed to serve as a prequel to the upcoming The Force Awakens film, given that it’s primed for release before the film.
Multiplayer -wise, some game modes will feature space-to-land battles. But what differentiates this from Battlefield games is what’s called the “hero” system. Think of it as a killstreak-style reward that lets you play as certain hero characters when you reach a certain point threshold.
The specifics of this this mechanic have reportedly not been nailed down completely yet.
An “aggressive” DLC plan is also in place, with five content packs, each containing at least three maps as well as characters from The Force Awakens. [Source]
