/// Sony Explains Why PlayStation VR Won’t Need a New Model!
PlayStation Magic Lab Director Richard Marks was recently asked by Tom’s Hardware if PlayStation VR would see new iterations throughout the life of the PlayStation 4. “It’s a similar situation to the entire console,” Marks said. “I mean the console comes out and everyone says ‘Oh, it’s gonna be obsolete because PCs will pass it up and be more powerful’.”
He later continued: “It’s not the case, so consoles come out and they’re pretty powerful and then the game developers figure out how to get more and more out of them as it goes. And so, by the end of the life cycle, that’s when you’re still seeing the best games possible. I think the PlayStation VR is very well matched to the PlayStation 4. So it will really kind of follow its life cycle quite well. And I think you’ll see as people get more out of the console the VR experiences will similarly get better and make the PlayStation VR seem like it’s getting better. I think that same kind of thing will happen with the headset as is happening with the console.” | Source

/// EA Is Expanding Into the Action Game Market, Wants to Do Big AAA Productions!
In an interview with IGN, Patrick Soderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios, talked about how they will be getting into the action market:
If you look at the biggest segment in our industry, which is action, we don’t have a lot. EA is not known to make gigantic action games like Assassin’s Creed or Batman or GTA or those types of games that are really big. The strategic direction that we put in motion is to expand our portfolio more into that segment, to see what can we bring to gamers that maybe hasn’t been done before.
