One of the more standout games released by Microsoft last year was the gorgeous Ori and the Blind Forest. As great as the game was, many felt that it was somewhat on the punishingly brutal side and because of that, never managed to see the entire game through to the end. Thankfully, Moon Studios has listened to the feedback of fans and will release an updated edition of the title that may be a bit easier to play.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will feature different difficulty settings. Those who felt defeated by the original game can now make the game easier. Those who enjoyed the merciless nature of the original can still play it with the difficulty they remember.
On top of new difficulty settings, the game will have new areas to explore, new abilities to unlock, more story sequences, fast travel between different areas of the map, and more. The two new environments take place in the game’s past so that players can learn more about the world of Naru. The two new abilities, Dash and Light Burst, will add more variety to traversal and combat.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be available on Xbox One and Windows PC on March 11.
