Earlier today, Ubisoft Community Manager Natchai Stappers confirmed in a Ubisoft forums post that the beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division has been extended on all platforms by 24 hours. This highly popular closed beta was originally scheduled to end tomorrow and will now be shutdown on February 2nd at 6am EST.
This extension comes a day after it was reported that Ubisoft had to put some players on a waitlist due to the high demand of beta access. Their decision to keep the servers running is a smart one that will give those who preordered the game late a chance to try it out.
Having played the beta for half the weekend, I’m pleased by what this game has to offer so far. The one issue that remains a question mark at this point is my curiosity as to how much content will be in the final package. Hopefully the developers will succeed in giving us more than most games.
Tom Clancy’s The Division launches worldwide on March 8th for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Have any of you had a chance to play the beta? If so, please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the game and more in the comments section below.
