/// Ubisoft CEO: The Nintendo NX is a Fantastic Machine, It’s Really a New Approach!
“The new Nintendo [console] is a fantastic machine,” said Guillemot. “It’s really a new approach, it’s really Nintendo, [which is] coming with something new again. We love it.”
“We always take disruptions on the positive side,” he added. “We think each time that it’s an opportunity for our creators to take more risks. When a machine is installed, there are a certain number of brands that take up the time of players, so they’re going to buy the next Assassin’s Creed or Call of Duty. Even if they say, ‘I’m interested in what you’re doing,’ at the end of the day they first buy what they know, then go somewhere else.
“When they change machines, they consider that it is better to try what has been done for that machine. This gives us an opportunity to totally change an IP that we have done before, or to create new experiences and new IPs.
“On the VR side it’s giving us an opportunity to create new experiences that are in the middle of movies and interactive,” he continued. “It’s being immersed in a universe where you have interactive experiences but also be able to be passive and look at a story or a world. It’s lots of new possibilities. In the company we are all interested in doing new things, because that’s where we can express ourselves differently and also where we can have fun discovering things you couldn’t do before.”

/// Assassin’s Creed Will Return When Ready!
Guillemot hinted that it might be a good few years before we see another Assassin’s Creed game. Ubisoft wants to “revolutionize” the IP and that means “it will be back when it’s ready.” He also revealed that Michel Ancel is working on an unannounced game with Ubisoft alongside WiLD. [Source]

/// Bethesda Thinks Skyrim Special Edition “Is Going to Do Tremendously Well”!
With Dishonored 2 being the sequel to the game of the year, it is the biggest, most important thing we have. Even though I think Skyrim is going to do tremendously well, I don’t think we need to spend a whole lot of time explaining what that is.
But with Dishonored 2, we want to spend time highlighting the fact that it is not just the same game. We want to show that the team has been really ambitious. [Source]

/// DayZ PS4 & Xbox One Versions Might Begin Proper Development in Early 2017!
Announced over two years ago for PlayStation 4 – with a prototype up and running internally as of at least June 2016 – zombie survival game DayZ for consoles isn’t dead, Creative Director Brian Hicks tells Eurogamer, but only 1% of the team’s resources are being put towards it right now:
The PC is our flagship platform for DayZ. That is where 99% of our development resources are focused. And while there was a lot of push from Sony and Microsoft to get up on their stages and say ‘yes, we’re coming’, our focus has been exclusively (I want to say exclusively because there’s about a 1% development resource trying to keep those platforms at a point at which, once we get to our beta and our bug fixing, we can start pushing forward on that) on the PC. We can’t really move DayZ over to these platforms, at least on a playable level for consumers, until the base engine, Enfusion, is complete. Or if not complete, feature-complete so to speak – the core tech is there.

/// The Division Is the #1 Best-Selling Game So Far in 2016 in the US & Europe!
Ubisoft revealed that The Division is the top-selling title so far in 2016, based on retail sales tracking in Europe and Australia, as well as the NPD’s retail and digital game sales tracking in the United States. Additionally, based on those same metrics, Far Cry Primal is in the top 10 best-selling games year-to-date, while Rainbow Six Siege was in the top 10 in the US for August.
