It’s 2001 again because our favorite lime diseased-free insect is back in blue!
Fifteen years after the cult classic live-action superhero comedy first aired, The Tick starring the Seinfield breakout star Patrick Warburton, was shooed-away by Fox. Creator Ben Edlund decided it was time to reboot the series. Picked up by Amazon Studios, it will air the ten-episodes superhero spoof starting August 25th.
The Koalition had the opportunity to interview The Tick’s creator Ben Edlund and its Executive Producer, Barry Josephson about why they decided to reboot the series, the new tone of the show, what we can expect from the series. They also discuss the Tick’s adjustment to social media and how Batman would feel about the blue threat. More importantly, how exactly did they convince the unrecognizable but brilliant Jackie Earle Haley to star as The Terror.
