WWE Cancels All April Events But May Tickets Are Being Sold

This really shouldn’t come a s surprise to anyone but WWE has cancelled all events for the month of April due to the coronavirus global pandemic.

Unfortunately this means even more tapings at the Performance Center for RAW, NXT and Smackdown…which translates to possibly more re-airings of WrestleMania (fingers crossed we get WM17) next week.

The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut announced the RAW scheduled for Monday, April 27 is canceled and Ticketmaster’s Fan Support will be contacting ticket holders soon with more details, including instructions on how to get refunds.

Slowly adjusting to the taping format, WWE has already taped upcoming episodes of NXT, 205 Live (yes this show still exist), RAW and SmackDown at the empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Both nights of WrestleMania 36 (despite commercials still advertising the cancelled Roman vs Goldberg match) has already been tapes along with matches for the post-WrestleMania RAW on April 6th and the April 8th NXT episode.

Even though it’s not yet confirmed, rumor has it WWE plans to air the April 10 SmackDown episode live from the WWE Performance Center. Hopefully it’ll actually contain live wrestling matches.

Additionally WWE may air the April 15th NXT episode live from the NXT Arena at Full Sail University.

Oddly though, Times Union Center in Albany, New York is still selling tickets for the SmackDown on FOX episode scheduled for May 1st.
