BMF Will Have Your Attention for the Next 8 Weeks

BMF is the latest drama to hit the Starz network, premiering officially on September 26th at 9pm Est. This series is the real life story of Detroit brothers Demetrius and Terry Flenory, who are very well documented for running one of the biggest organized crime organizations in America.

BMF stands for Black Mafia Family, which is the banner that the two brothers ran their organization under during their prime. Their influence was so big that they had ties with some of the biggest names in the hip hop industry. It was impossible to be a rapper booked at the many clubs in America without crossing paths with BMF. And more than likely, if you found yourself in the same club as them, they’d bought out the entire bar already.

But that kind of success has humble beginnings, and in this BMF series we see the origins of Demetrius (Big Meech) and Terry (Tee). We see how Tee struggles with his choices. We see Meech’s rocky relationship with his parents. And we see how all of this affects the people around them in the neighborhood.

BMF has a proven cast, as well as some fresh faces. Demetrius Flenory’s own son Demetrius Flenory Jr. plays his father in the series, adding a layer of authenticity to the show. Other talent includes Russell Hornsby, Wood Harris, Snoop Dogg and Eminem as White Boy Rick.
