Disney+ Debuts Carl Weather and A Playful Grogu in New The Mandalorian Clip

Ahead of The Mandalorian‘s highly-anticipated return on March 1, Lucasfilm has unveiled a clip from the upcoming third season of Disney+’s popular Star Wars series, featuring Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, Carl Weathers’ Greef Karga, and Grogu.

As seen in the clip above, it teases Din and Grogu’s return to Nevarro, where Greef Karga offers them a place at the newly revived planet. It also shows Grogu acting like all of us as kids pretending to use the Force. Could this be a teaser of his playful antics this season, as he can be seen using the Force to spin his chair and get a snack that is out of his reach.

In season three, the journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The Star Wars series is led by Pedro Pascal as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Before the new season, Pascal’s Din Djarin previously appeared in Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett, which saw Djarin and Grogu reunited after the events of The Mandalorian Season 2’s finale.

Season 3’s directorial lineup includes returning filmmakers Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, and Bryce Dallas Howard, along with Star Wars newcomers Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison.

The Mandalorian hails from executive producers Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck. Favreau is also set as the showrunner and one of its directors.
