WWE 2K23 Pretty Sweet DLC Review – Yes Boy!

Round 2…FIGHT! DLC pack 2 titled Pretty Sweet is now available and personally, this is the pack that I have been clamoring for. I’m a huge fan of the Good Brothers and was gutted when they were released in 2020 due to budget cuts. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have such great chemistry in & out of the ring which is why they have been so successful in every promotion they’ve competed in. Thankful they are back in WWE and BACK in WWE 2K23.

The team includes their entrance along with custom commentary by Cole and Graves. I have to say that I’m thrilled that the custom commentary appears to be the standard for all DLC and free superstars. Having this additional commentary makes the new superstars feel genuine as if they are superstars from the base game. Yes, I know this feature was also in WWE 2K22, I’m just glad it wasn’t a one-off and looks to be a mainstay in the franchise.

One last cool feature to point out about the Good Brothers is if you set AJ Styles as the manager you will not only see the Too Sweet entrance of the OC but also hear custom commentary for the OC. I also tried adding Mia Yim as the 2nd manager but unfortunately, it just defaults to the tag team in front and managers in the back. The same goes if you play as Mia Yim and set any 2 OC members as managers.

Elton Prince and Kit Wilson AKA Pretty Deadly may be the new team on SMACKDOWN but those who watched NXT UK or NXT already know they are one of the best tag teams across all brands, dare I say all promotions.

Their throwback wrestling personas along with their in-ring work make them extremely entertaining to watch. Like the Good Brothers, all their custom content is here and I’ve already thrown them in the mix in my Universe mode.

Tiffany Stratton is a talented “homegrown” superstar on the NXT brand. She has an athletic background, particularly in gymnastics which is instantly noticeable by her in-ring moves.

She’s very similar to how Alexa Bliss (who also has a gymnastic background) is able to interject her gymnast skills to create some unique offensive attacks such as the Split-legged Corkscrew Moonsault and Prettiest Moonsault Ever. She’s a damn good heel and thanks again to her custom commentary the WWE gaming universe will hear all about it.

Pretty Sweet Pack is…well Pretty Sweet. We get two great tag teams along with a rising star and MyFaction cards for all in the DLC pack BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! Prior to the DLC release a new patch arrived that included a ton of free new content and gameplay improvements (click for full patch details).

The most noticeable is the inclusion of “Michin” Mia Yim and Candice LeRAE. They are playable across all PLAY modes and also include free MyFaction cards for both superstars. It’s great to see we are getting free superstars which keeps my hope alive that we’ll finally get Bronson Reed.
