The Braxton family have seen their share of ups and downs, arguments and agreements but never before have the sisters been tested than with the inclusion of their 32-year-old niece Ashlee on Tamar Braxton’s podcast where Ashlee made some heavy accusations against her aunt.
According to Tamar, the backlash is all because invited Ashlee on her podcast after Ashlee alleged one of her aunts “cut her off” after she revealed that an ex-partner of the aunt had sent her inappropriate messages when she was 16 years old. Tamar justified the invitation as wanting to give Ashlee a “safe place” to share her story but claims she was hit with a cease-and-desist from her sisters before recording.
As seen in the previously released trailer, Toni, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar get into a heated conversation after Tamar confronted her sisters about allegedly trying to destroy her business, which includes her podcast. Things are further complicated when Tamar accused Toni of wanting Ashlee featured on The Braxtons, which Toni denies, “Don’t you f**king go there… don’t play with me!”
While the truth has yet to be revealed, The Koalition have an exclusive clip from Episode 203 of The Braxtons titled “UNBREAK MY HEART.” As seen in the clip above, Tamar is a guest on TS Madison’s podcast, Outlaws with TS Madison, when Madison asks Tamar about her Ashlee. Tamar reveals that she’s not allowed to talk about the situation due to the cease and desist.
“The truth is I was blindsided by this cease and desist because I was in a good place with my family. I was responsible, I was honest and I let them know Ashlee was coming on here. I said nothing privately, I said nothing publicly and their family attorney sent that cease and desist to me. It’s fucked up. And I definitely don’t feel like people should silence me, especially when my intention is for the good of our family.”
In 2024 in a two-part TikTok video, Ashlee explained the incident began after she and her sister spent a summer with one of her aunts. Once they returned home, she claimed the aunt’s partner started sending her sexual text messages. “When I leave her partner, her husband at the time, [he] decides to start sexting me. So, texting in a sexual manner,” she recalled. “There was nothing physical that happened. Absolutely nothing. My aunt was there for me. She was very kind, very nice and was like ‘I’m so sorry that this happened to you.’ She was very kind, and it just felt safe. But then, as the years have gone by, it’s like that mood and that assumption that I didn’t do anything because I was a child was not that assumption anymore.”
When The Koalition spoke to Trina about her relationship with Ashlee she stated, “I have not spoken to Ashlee, even when she was here. I didn’t know she was here. There was no reaching out and I feel like there should have been, but I think, and this is not about the network per se, it’s about this, and this is Trina’s opinion; I think that it was almost impossible to encapsulate everything that everyone needed to see in only eight episodes.”
In addition to the Ashlee situation, Episode 3 of The Braxtons will also focus on Von filling Trina in on his recent health scare, Toni preparing for her solo show, Towanda shares disappointment at Tamar and Toni’s absence in the wedding process, and a family health emergency forces the sisters to sit for a tense dinner meeting.
