We’re back from a two week hiatus for a new episode of The Co-op Podcast. There was a lot to discuss, so we had to bring on some of our fan favorites, including Charles Singletary Jr. and Michael A. Our main topics this week were Sony’s decision to slash the PS4 price by $50, and Phil Spencer telling an interviewer that he doesn’t know if the Xbox One will catch up to the PS4. Will the price cut increase the gap between the consoles even further? I guess we just have to find out.
One of our loyal listeners Corey Dillon suggested a topic to us this week. He raised an interesting question on Twitter, are the micro-transactions in video games getting out of hand? Destiny is getting them, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has them, and now Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider are to have them also. Will this trend get worse? We chop this fable on the show.
Also discussed:
– Star Wars Battlefront Beta impressions
– Far Cry Primal trailer impressions
– Thoughts on the new Street Fighter V characters
– Lots more
