In the first leaked Cypher of BET’s 2014 Hip Hop Awards, battle rappers from URL.tv get the spotlight. 2014 has been a solid year for the battle rap scene with the Slaughterhouse event, this cypher, and the upcoming Dizaster vs Cassidy battle. Murda Mook vs Drake is rumored as well, but that’ll probably be a bonus disc with Detox (which has officially been canceled by the way).
Tsu Surf, T-Rex, Goodz, and Rain 910 all represent the culture well with solid freestyles over a classic loop.
