Earlier today, Rockstar Games released the third official story trailer for their upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 video game. The video is conveniently embedded above along with the official story description for the highly anticipated action-adventure game included below.
Set in America in the year 1899, Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place at the end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
I had an opportunity to review the previous Red Dead Redemption video game way back in May of 2010. Knowing Rockstar’s signature reputation for making phenomenal games, I have no doubt that this sequel will be every bit as exciting as the trailer released today. It also will be interesting to see how they implement what that have learned from both GTA V and GTA Online into this game. October 26th can’t come soon enough.
