Mega Ran’s Album and Documentary Surpasses Kickstarter Goal

On October 29th, teacher turned video game rapper Random aka Mega Ran announced a brand new album and director’s cut documentary as part of an exciting Kickstarter campaign. As of today, that campaign has surpassed the original goal of $5,000.00 and is now sitting pretty at $12,375.00 with about 8 days to go before it closes. Embedded above is the inspirational campaign video that started it all.

The Director’s cut is part of a documentary that has been fully reshot and repackaged as Mega Lo Mania: The Director’s Cut. Mega Lo Mania follows the creative rapper and his band while on tour and dives into how he started out in this business. Below is a sample of what backers will receive who decide to support the project:

  • More performance footage added
  • Interviews with legendary and influential musicians about me and our work
  • More history of chiptunes, VGM and Hip-Hop

In addition to the DVD, supporters will also gain early access to Mega Ran’s upcoming album titled Wouldn’t Miss It For The World. This full length album is expected to drop sometime in 2015 and will include the likes of several contributors like Joell Ortiz, K-Murdock and MURS. Below is a preview of a song that will appear on the album titled Infinite Lives and featuring D&D Sluggers.

If you enjoy Mega Ran’s impressive body of work, please do consider backing him on this project. To find out more about the campaign, you can visit the official Kickstarted page link right HERE.
