Long Beach rapper RBX (Reality Born Unknown) is this week’s Throwback Thursday featured artist.
We will revisit five tracks from the former Death Row artist’s discography.
The first track is “Rough Is The Texture“. This song was released on RBX’s 1995 debut album “The RBX Files” and was produced by Greg Royal.
The second track of our selected five is “High Powered“. This song is from Dr. Dre‘s classic 1992 debut solo album “The Chronic“. RBX made various appearances throughout the album.
Track three is “A.W.O.L“. This was released as a single in 1995 from his debut “The RBX Files“, which got pushed back several years due to his differences between Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg (who he attacks throughout the song). Producer Greg Royal sampled The Notorious B.I.G‘s track “Juicy“.
From the same album, “No Time” is track 4 in our playlist. One of the stand-out tracks on his debut album, producer Greg Royal sampled No Silk‘s “Do It To The Music“.
The final track of our selected five is “Foul Mood“. This song opens up his 2004 album “Ripp tha Game Bloody: Street Muzic“.
