Looks like we’re getting a double dose of Sonic this year with the newly announced Sonic Colors. The game will have Sonic using different colored streaks as powers, given to you once you free certain colored Alien Wisps. So a yellow Wisps will let you drill through the ground and such. The world locations are set in Dr. Eggman’s Amusement Park, so expect some roller-coaster rail grinding.
Sonic Colors will be out this Holiday 2010, only on Nintendo Wii and DS. The Wii version is said to ” seamlessly combine both 3D and classic 2D game play perspectives”, while the DS takes full advantage of the dual screens. Sega also released a quick reveal trailer, check it out below.
