I’m a huge South Park fan. I’ve seen every single episode and I’m pretty sure I love Butters more than his own parents do! I also love videogames and although there has already been four games based on the mature-rated cartoon, none of them has successfully captured the magic, charm or sheer hilarity that the South Park series is known for. However this year THQ are set to succeed where all other publishers have failed with the release of South Park: The Game, an upcoming RPG developed by Obsidian. What separates this South Park game from all the others is the fact that series creators Matt Parker and Trey Stone will be writing the games script, providing voice work and overseeing the entire project. Both Matt and Trey are huge gamers, which is evident when watching the show, so their commitment to this project is a positive sign. In the game you play as a new kid and must accept quests from the likes of Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny in order to fit in. As the screenshots below suggest, the game looks exactly like the TV show which personally has me very excited! This is one of my most anticipated games of all time and I really hope it delivers.
