My Our prayers have been answered. Metal Gear Solid 4 will finally get the long awaited trophy patch. The game was originally released in 2008, before Trophies were enabled on the Playstation Network. Ever since the Trophy patch came to the system, MGS fans have been begging Konami for the patch to enable them to earn trophies for their long hours of espionage.
The patch has finally been confirmed, though there’s no date yet it’s great to know that it’s coming. This news comes just as I managed to purchase the Metal Gear Solid HD collection for the PS3, which has got me into the MGS games all over again. It’s exciting to know that I can now gain trophies for the HD collection and then MGS4.
Last month the online portion of the game was discontinued, so this means the trophies will all be Gear’d towards the single player itself (see what I did?).
