For the last few weeks, we’ve been treated with new songs from the Chicago emcee Lupe Fiasco. The most recent have all been products from the Lost in the Atlantic mixtape, taking advantage of the perceived turbulence between Lupe and Atlantic records. I say perceived because it seems like they’ve flipped the previous issues into a brilliant marketing scheme, but it doesn’t matter when we’ve received such good music as a result. This particular song is an official release from Tetsuo & Youth, which received a January release date recently.
Debuted on HNHH, “Deliver” has a very to-the-point subject about the pizza man not delivering to the dangerous streets of Chicago and, of course, that’s just on the surface. The production is dark and fitting for the subject matter, allowing Lupe to interlace with a rapid pace. In short, Tetsuo & Youth just may be another dope project to add to Lupe’s discography and our collections. Listen below and cop it on iTunes as well.
