Today, Airtight Games and Square Enix confirmed that Murdered: Soul Suspect will launch on June 3rd in North America and June 6th in Europe. This news was revealed as part of an informative post over on the official Square Enix website.
In addition to this news, Square Enix also confirmed that both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will retail for $59.99 while the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 versions will only cost $49.99. It is currently unclear what exactly justifies this price difference and I’m certain that many people won’t be happy to hear this.
Murdered: Soul Suspect has been characterized as a supernatural thriller that follows the trials and tribulations of a deceased detective as he tries to track down the criminal responsible for his death. The game is expected to mix elements of both point-and-click adventure gameplay and puzzle solving to uncover clues along the way. Needless to say, Murdered: Soul Suspect has received rather mixed reviews from the media so far. Hopefully the finished product will exceed expectations as I feel the overall concept is intriguing and could be memorable if done correctly.
