There were many people (myself including) who were waiting for an Animal Crossing to finally make its way to the Wii U. While Nintendo might have been listening, they might have gotten the wires crossed. There will be something Animal Crossing coming to the Wii U, but it’s more Mario Party than anything else.
Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival is what happens when Mario Party, Animal Crossing, and Amiibos all meet together and decide to hang out. It combines the traditional notebook-ish aesthetic of Animal Crossing with the board game” gameplay style of Mario Party.
You can expect Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival sometime this fall.
