Marvel has teamed up with Telltale Games to make video games. This was announced today at an event in San Francisco.
We know few details at this point. The only solid bit of news is that the first game born from this partnership won’t see the light of day until 2017. Marvel Games creative director Bill Roseman said that the games will be “exquisite,” “sexy,” and “eye-popping.” Executive vice president and general manager for Marvel interactive and digital distribution, Peter Phillips said that the games will focus on the characters and on story telling.
While we don’t know exactly what stories will be told and in what universe they’ll be set in (whether it’s the 616 Marvel Comics Universe or the Cinematic Universe), we do know that Telltales will have a wealth of characters and stories to utilize when creating these games.
Stay tuned for more details on this as they develop.
