The Assassin’s Creed movie hasn’t even hit theaters yet but that doesn’t stop Ubisoft from planning their next big blockbuster based on one of their Video Game IPs. Reports say that a movie version of The Division is in the works, and it will star Prince of Persia lead actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
With Assassin’s Creed due this December, and Splinter Cell already in the works with Tom Hardy, Ubisoft is dead set on bringing their biggest IPs to the big screen.
Ubisoft has yet to officially speak on The Division movie, but reports say that Gyllenhaal won’t just be the lead actor as he’ll also be producing the film.
Jake Gyllenhaal starred in another Ubisoft movie in 2010, playing Dastan in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The movie currently has a 36% on Rotten Tomatoes.
