Have you ever played a game without sound? It really does hamper the experience, right?
This is true for any game, from the simplest, most casual title to the most complex RTS, RPG or MMO you can think of. Often it’s the music that makes a game special and stand out from the crowd of hundreds of titles. This is also the case for the following three slot machine games.
DJ WÏLD by ELK Studios
ELK Studios is an emerging game developer from the UK that has chosen the life of a mobile-first game studio. All their games are built in HTML5 to assure compatibility – and the greatest possible experience – across all devices, desktop and mobile alike.
DJ WÏLD is a game that they don’t have to be ashamed of. Fantasize, the tune playing throughout the game was created by a Stockholm DJ (unnamed, unfortunately), in the style preferred by the local clubgoers. The music is in perfect harmony with the game’s visuals, filled with wireframes and strobes, and its overall atmosphere.
Jimi Hendrix by NetEnt
Let’s stay in Sweden, at the multiple-award-winning game developer NetEnt, responsible for some of the most spectacular slot machines at The Grizzly of Canada.
Last year, the developer has announced the release of a new, musical slot machine series, called NetEnt Rocks – The Tour, featuring some of the biggest rock sensations of the years past.
“Jimi Hendrix” is the second game in the series, and the least spectacular (visually, I mean) of the two released so far. But what it lacks in graphics, it makes up for in music written and performed by the legendary guitarist himself.
The game is great in itself, but the music makes it spectacular. However, it’s not as spectacular as the first game in the NetEnt Rocks series released last year and next on our list.
Guns n’ Roses by NetEnt
Released just weeks after the legendary rock band’s return to the stage at Coachella, the GnR slot machine is massive. It features not only some of the biggest hits of the band – like Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child of Mine, and Paradise City, but clips recorded at the band’s live performances during their glory days.
All the features and bonuses in the Guns n’ Roses slot machine revolve around the band playing their insanely dynamic tunes in the background. A slot machine on its own will not appeal to anyone without an affinity for these types of games. However, the GnR slot will thanks to its action-packed, colorful gameplay, and smashing soundtrack.
This concludes my list of three slots with amazing musical scores. Are any of you interested in checking out these titles? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
