Some social media manager out there has made a boo-boo. Yesterday, after the excitement of The Summer Games Fest showcase, two Tweets were published on the official Twitter account for Atlus Games. One is an announcement for the long-awaited Persona 3 remake, and the other is the announcement of Persona 5 Tactica.
See both trailers below. These were Re-Tweeted by Faz (@ScrambledFaz) after the original Atlus Tweets were pulled.
UPDATE: Official box art for Persona 3 Reload has also been released. Find it below.

What is Persona 3 Remake?
Originally released on the PS2, Persona 3 is regarded as one of the best games in the Persona series (alongside Persona 4). Because it was released so long ago, fans have been craving a modernized game re-imagining. Persona 5 was such a blowout success in 2017, and much of it was attributed to its fun and stylistic game design. With that, the fan base was consumed with the idea of the old games being remade with the Persona 5 engine.
Rumors of the Persona 3 Remake date back around three years now. It’s unclear if someone caught wind that it was in development, or if the rumors were based on pure speculation. However, it’s clear now that the rumors were indeed true.
When Persona 3 Portable was suddenly announced to release on Steam and Game Pass in 2022, fans regained hope that a complete remake of Persona 3 would eventually come. Now, here we are a year later.
In the trailer, Atlus says the game is coming in early 2024.
What about Persona 5 Tactica?
As Persona 5 was so successful, we have seen Atlus come up with numerous spin-offs within this particular universe. Persona 5 Tactica looks to be the latest, and this time it’s going to be a turn-based tactical battlefield experience resembling Fire Emblem. Persona 5 Tactica is set to release on November 17th, 2023 according to the trailer.
Some say that Atlus needs to wind down on the Persona 5 spin-offs now, but what say you?
The trailers above were likely intended to be revealed at the June 11th Xbox Showcase that takes place this weekend. However, Persona fans received an early treat when these two Tweets went out.
