Throwdown Ep. 119 – “Resident Evil 7.7”

Welcome to another episode of Throwdown. On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game news and topics in an uncompromising and honest manner. No developer, publisher, or fanboy is safe from us!

Last week, our good friend HipHopGamer caused some controversy when he criticized IGN for giving Resident Evil 7 a score of 7.7. He’s put reviewers “on blast” in the past, but this time, the reaction from those in the industry was decidedly vicious. For our main topic, we have the man himself discuss why there was such a huge backlash over what he said and why he thinks he was attacked the way he was.

Other topics we discuss:

– GameStop controversial “Circle of Life” program
– Phil Spencer doesn’t want gamers to pre-order the Scorpio
