Welcome to another episode of Throwdown! On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game news and topics in an uncompromising and honest manner. No developer, publisher, or fanboy is safe from us!
Last week, we talked about Michael Pachter’s prediction that the PlayStation 5 would be released in 2019. This story has popped up again on many sites. In particular, they are focusing on the part where he said Sony’s next-gen system would be “another half-step” like the PlayStation 4 Pro. For our main topic, we discuss whether or not we have hit a ceiling in terms of console graphical power and if we’ll ever see any significant evolutionary leaps in the future.
Other topics we discuss:
– Lorne Lanning calling Nintendo out
– Lawbreakers dev says Switch doesn’t have enough buttons to support game
– Xbox at Gamescom 2017
– New Xbox One update add custom Gamerpics and more
– The 30th anniversary of Metal Gear
