Throwdown Ep. 62 – Too Xtreme for the West

Welcome to another episode of Throwdown. On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game, pop culture, and tech news in an honest and uncompromising fashion.

The biggest news story this week is the controversy surrounding Koei Tecmo’s decision to not release Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in the West due to the backlash the game would get. Since that’s the case, we decided to make this our featured topic. Does Koei Tecmo have a point when it comes to the reception it will receive in the West, or is this a cover they’re using to gain media attention?

Our second main topic is about the second year anniversaries of the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. We break down how each system has fared since their respective launches, and what their futures are looking like.

We bring back Pop Culture news this week to discuss the recently released trailer for Captain America: Civil War. We give our opinions on the trailer itself and discuss what we expect and hope to see in the film and talk about how the film will shape the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.
